Operational Staff session on crime prevention took place in Russia’s MIA.
The meeting addressed the issue of readiness of the Internal Affairs Bodies and Russia’s MIA military forces to ensure law and order and public safety before and during the New Year celebrations.

In the new Year's eve Main Administration of Russia's MIA for Central Federal District and members of public met the charity children under the motto "Don't take the sun away from children" in the children's orphanage "Pavlin"in the village of Myshkino, Mozhaysky District, Moscow region.

During holidays traffic police strengthen monitoring of drunken drivers.
On the eve of the New Year the traffic police work in medium security.This situation especially takes place in regional centers and major cities. On days before holidays the traffic situation here becomes more complicated, the traffic is much heavier. The road police commonly perform raids and special operations on identification of drunken drivers.

Orenburg policemen receive long-expected accommodation
Orenburg hosted the solemn commissioning ceremony of the 78-apartment residential house in Central Street for employees of the Internal Affairs bodies in the Orenburg Oblast. The capital investments to construct the house exceeded 100 million rubles, the major part of which being assigned from the federal budget.

Over thousand and half children take part in “New Year Celebration of Internal Troops”
The detached special purpose division of Russia’s MIA Internal Troops hosted a charity celebration for children whose parents participated in counter-terrorist actions in the North Caucasus, as well as for children from large families of military men and patronized social institutions, including juvenile rehabilitation centers in Moscow Oblast.

New police precinct point opened in Khabarovsk
The newly opened police point is located in the district of Workers’ City situated in the Central District of Khabarovsk. The police precinct building has eight functional rooms. The head of the city MIA Administration congratulated the leadership and personnel of Police Department ¹ 5 on the remarkable event wishing them success in the operative and service activities.

The new hospital is a modern departmental medical institution for medical care for law enforcement officers, their families, veterans – MIA pensioners.

In Voronezh Oblast, citizen thanks policemen for returning stolen car
A pensioner from Rossosh agreed to drive a passenger in his own car to another oblast region in the night time. During the trip, when he left the car for a short while, the passenger stole his car. The elderly man found himself without money, documents and cellphone at four a.m. in the field 150 kilometers away from home. He went to the nearest shop and called the police from there.

In Novosibirsk, new kindergarten commissioned for children of military men of Russia's MIA Internal Troops
New kindergarten # 84 has been opened in the Chistaya Sloboda District in Novosibirsk. This is a preschool education for 215 persons the half of which are reserved for children of military men of Russia;s MIA Internal Troops, and it will open its doors for the kids immediately after the New Year holidays.

The head of Russia’s MIA Administration for the city of Murmansk, Police Colonel Vladimir Evmenkov awarded Denis Andryakov, a taxi-driver who rendered assistance to the police in detaining the car arsonist.

Transport policemen in Vladivostok receive letters of acknowledgement from First Deputy Chairman of Russian Federation Government I. Shuvalov
I. Shuvalov headed the organizational committee for the preparation and support of Russia’s chairmanship in the APEC Forum which took place in September 2012 in Valdivostok. The personnel of the Far East transport police ensured the law order at the railway, air and sea transportation facilities during this international event.

Winners announced of photo contest “Road Sign Alive” which took place within framework of campaign “Pedestrian – to Pedestrian Crossing!”
The photo contest “Road Sign Alive” has grown to be one of the most popular actions held within the framework of the social campaign “Pedestrian – to Pedestrian Crossing!”. Over 1.3 thousand people submitted their works to the contest. The viewer vote determined the winners – Stanislav Kryuchkov from Belgorod and Anastasia Gorshkova from Yaroslavl. It is they who will receive the main prizes of the photo contest – tablet computers.
