Member of Public council at Central Internal Affairs Directorate in Krasnoyarsk area father Andrey Dorogov consecrated weapon room of militia

On the threshold of the Day of the patrol and inspection service of militia an unusual event took place at the regiment of the patrol and inspection militia service of the Internal Affairs Directorate in Krasnoyarsk. The weapon room of the unit was consecrated by the priest of the Archangel Michael temple father Andrey Dorogov. Kalashnikov assault rifles and Makarov pistols militia employees take up their daily service with were sprinkled by sacred water.

"This weapon is intended not for murdering, but for protecting people, this is the basic difference. We are urged to protect the good,"  said the member of the Public council of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate in Krasnoyarsk area.

The priest said a prayer and addressed the employees taking up the service of maintenance of the public safety with a word of advice. Father Andrey presented to the management of the regiment of the patrol and inspection militia service an icon of Archangel Mikhail, the patron of all soldiers.

"The consecration of the government-issue weapon is a major event for all employees of our unit," said the assistant commander of the regiment of the patrol and inspection militia service of the Internal Affairs Directorate in Krasnoyarsk Evgeniy Kashchuk. - Militia employees always face life risks, there can be circumstances where application of fire arms may be necessary. We hope that after this ceremony the spirit of militia employees will become stronger, the law enforcement officers will become more psychologically confident, for they will know that they under protection of God".

It shall be remarked that this is not the first ceremony held by father Andrey in the regiment of the patrol and inspection militia service. In May, the priest of the Archangel Michael temple had consecrated office cars of employees of the patrol and inspection service.
