Inspectors of road patrol service of State Traffic Safety Inspectorate at Internal Affairs Directorate of Sakhalin region carried out campaign "Dorozhnaya Azbuka" ("Traffic alphabet") for school children

September has arrived. School time has come. Children sat down at school desks to obtain new knowledge. But they will have to study not only the multiplication table, the ABC, but also the "traffic alphabet".

The children had started comprehending essentials of the road alphabet in kindergartens. But at school more time is given to this subject during life safety fundamentals lessons and during conversations with inspectors of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate who regularly visit schools. Inspectors did not forget about their wards in summer either. In school camps and club camps they arranged games, trivia games, and conversations, they invited children on excursions, familiarized the school children closer with their work.

As the school year started, inspectors of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk city visited all schools and appealed to children during the general school assemblies with just one request: to observe traffic safety rules.

At their first lesson on September 1, pupils of the fourth grades at school no. 21 of the regional capital made drawings about traffic safety rules. And the next day the same pupils distributed these drawings among drivers at a bus stop. The children asked them to observe traffic safety rules, to give way to pedestrians on pedestrian crossings and upon green light.

Similar campaigns are regularly held for the purpose of attraction of attention of the adult population, especially drivers, to juvenile inhabitants of the regional center.
