Magadan police conduct "Novice Driver" action

Since early this year, 20 traffic accidents involving 45 people have been recorded in Magadan Oblast. The death toll is 6 people.

In order to prevent accidents with children and adolescents caused by novice drivers, the traffic police department of the interdepartmental unit "Hasynsky" of Russia's MVD for Magadan Oblast conducted a preventive action called "Novice Driver".

During the event, the road police inspectors handed special car stickers over to the inexperienced drivers. Black exclamation marks on a yellow field are to inform everybody that a beginner is behind the wheel. Such a sticker on the back window of a car does not, of course, guarantee the driver's absolute security on the road, yet it makes them feel more confident and calmer.

The most vulnerable category of road users is children. Responsibility for their safety rests entirely with adults. That is why special attention during the campaign was paid to novice drivers - mothers. The road policemen conducted prevention talks with them on the rules of their children's transportation and then handed the child restraints and stickers "Caution! Baby in the car!" over to them.

In addition, the traffic police inspectors again reminded the citizens that anyone who sits behind the wheel must impose the most stringent requirements to themselves in the first place and must realize the full measure of responsibility for the situation on the road and the severity of the possible consequences even in the event of the slightest traffic rules violation.
